‘…people don’t change who they are…people don’t know who they are.’ Mag19
I didn’t sleep last night…even with the meditation and focusing on the breath…I woke up in the middle of the night…I wasn’t tired…I figured that it was almost time to get up anyways so I grabbed the power vs. force book that I had buried in my back pack…about 6 hours later I finished re-reading the book…I guess it wasn’t close to wake up time after all…it was a great re-fresher…the first time I read the book was about a year ago and it had a great impact on me…a year later and another great impact…this book is saying the same thing as the course in miracles is saying…as the monks are saying too…even the matrix…the world is one big electronic pulse which we are all connected to…as we learn to settle our mind we can connect into this database…at that moment our knowledge will be infinite…
…a problem with being bored is that the action in itself is unpleasant…no one likes to be bored…so humans look for meaningful experience to deal with boredom…the challenge is that the mind will begin to cling to boredom so it will be fuelled with more stimulus…
I was thinking of the power vs. force book…when I first read the book I thought that the way I lived my life say 6 years ago equated to a lower level of awareness…I’m not sure that I believe that now…maybe the author is right when he says that people don’t generally move up his awareness matrix much more than 5% in a lifetime…I have often thought similarly as the quote at the top suggests…if he is right…then at what point is our awareness measured…moment by moment…
The monks talk today really irked me…his outlook on the world was seriously negative…coming from a guy who hasn’t left this place in twelve years…I wonder why he’s not focusing on the positive…manifestation…law of attraction…I guess it’s because Buddha didn’t talk about it…I recognize that like most other organize beliefs…Buddhism has it’s own constraints and separation…why else would the monks be telling me everyday how hard it is to reach enlightenment…that there are 16 steps and it will take a life time of work to make it threw all the levels…I believe them when they say this…I really do…I believe that it will take them a lifetime to reach enlightenment and that very few of them will reach the level of a Buddha…I on the other hand believe that everyone can reach the level of Buddha…Jesus…God and while it takes some work to do so it will be as hard or easy as one wants their reality to believe it will be…
I must have gotten a bit of sleep this morning as I had another vivid dream…every night another dream…and the dreams are clear…it’s not muddled over or hard to hear or see…
rest in peace
